1. Purpose and Scope
This Grievance Redressal Policy (“Policy”) sets out the mechanism adopted by JamunJar Health and Wealth Private Limited (“Company” or “JamunJar” or “We” or “Us”) for the redressal of grievances raised by users and consumers (“Consumer” or “You”) in connection with their use of the domain name www.jamunjar.com and the JamunJar mobile application on Android and iOS (collectively, the “Platform”) or their access to or availing of the Services through any electronic, digital, telephonic, physical or other mode or medium made available by JamunJar.The Platform operates as an online marketplace and intermediary that enables independent, licensed third-party sellers, pharmacies, diagnostic laboratories and registered medical practitioners (each a “Service Provider”) to offer, list and fulfil medicines, diagnostic tests, teleconsultations and allied healthcare goods and services to Consumers. JamunJar does not itself manufacture, prescribe, dispense, compound, package or perform any medicine, drug, diagnostic test or medical consultation, and this Policy shall be read and construed accordingly.This Policy applies to grievances concerning (a) the functioning, availability and use of the Platform, and (b) subject to Clause 4 below, goods and services procured from or through JamunJar, whether accessed or availed through the Platform or through any electronic, digital, telephonic, physical or other mode or medium made available by JamunJar, from Service Providers. This Policy does not constitute, and shall not be construed as, an admission of liability, agency, employment or partnership between JamunJar and any Service Provider.
2. Not for Medical Emergencies
This Policy, and the timelines set out herein, are NOT intended for and must NOT be used in respect of medical emergencies, adverse drug reactions requiring immediate attention, or any situation involving risk to life or health. In any such situation, You must immediately call your local emergency medical services (112 in India) or visit the nearest hospital or emergency room. JamunJar's grievance redressal timelines do not apply to, and should not be relied upon in, emergency situations.
3. Definitions
- “Grievance” means any communication by a Consumer concerning a product or service availed through the Platform or through any other mode or medium made available by JamunJar and seeking remedial action. A Grievance does not include incomplete, vague, frivolous or duplicate complaints, general suggestions, feedback, or queries not seeking specific remedial action.
- “Service Provider” means any independent third-party seller, pharmacy, diagnostic laboratory, registered medical practitioner or other healthcare service provider offering goods or services through the Platform or through any other mode or medium made available by JamunJar.
- “Adverse Event” means any untoward medical occurrence, including an adverse drug reaction, suspected to be associated with a medicine or treatment availed through the Platform.
4. Company's Role as Intermediary/Marketplace
JamunJar operates the Platform as a marketplace and online intermediary within the meaning of applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Accordingly:All medicines, diagnostic tests, prescriptions, medical advice and healthcare services made available by or through JamunJar, whether through the Platform or through any other mode or medium made available by JamunJar, are provided solely by the relevant Service Provider, who is solely and exclusively responsible for the legality, accuracy, safety, quality and fitness of such goods and services, including compliance with the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and rules thereunder, the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020, and all other applicable healthcare laws and licensing requirements.Nothing on the Platform, including this Policy, constitutes medical advice from JamunJar, and no doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient or diagnostician-patient relationship is created between JamunJar and any Consumer.Where a Grievance pertains to goods or services provided by a Service Provider, JamunJar shall use reasonable efforts to facilitate communication and resolution between the Consumer and the relevant Service Provider, but shall not independently adjudicate, determine the merits of, or assume liability for such Grievance, except to the extent required by applicable law.

6. Grievance Officer
In accordance with applicable law, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, JamunJar has appointed a Grievance Officer, resident in India, to oversee Consumer grievance redressal. 8. Data Protection Grievances
Grievances relating to the processing of personal data or sensitive personal data (including health data) shall be addressed separately by our Grievance Officer for data protection matters designated under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, contactable at: data.privacy@jamunjar.com.
9. Adverse Drug Reactions and Pharmacovigilance
Any suspected Adverse Event or adverse drug reaction must be reported immediately to the treating Service Provider and, where applicable, may also be reported to the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission. Such reports are separate from, and not a substitute for, immediate medical attention, and shall not be treated as a Grievance for the purposes of the timelines in this Policy.
10. Closure of Grievance
A grievance will be considered closed if:
- The complainant communicates acceptance of the response.
- The complainant does not respond within 30 days of receiving a written response from the Company.
- The grievance has been appropriately addressed or resolved by the relevant third-party seller or service provider, as applicable.
11. Information About Service Providers
It may please be noted that, before purchasing any goods or services from or through JamunJar, a Consumer may request the following information regarding the seller:
- Principal geographic address of headquarters/branches.
- Relevant contact details including email and website.
- Any other information necessary for effective dispute resolution.
12. No Waiver; Limitation
Engagement with the grievance redressal mechanism under this Policy shall not be construed as a waiver of any right or remedy available to JamunJar or the Consumer under applicable law, nor as an admission of liability by JamunJar or any Service Provider.
13. Amendment
JamunJar reserves the right to review and amend this Policy from time to time to ensure continued compliance with applicable law and industry practice. The version of this Policy in effect on the date of the relevant transaction or Grievance shall apply.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to Clause 12 above, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Policy.
